My Kids are growing up to fast

-Emma told me that Troy from High School Musical is a hottie and she is pretty excited to go see the third HSM, but who isn't!
-Rex had this Lego toy and was using it to unscrew his light switch plate and when i told him to stop he said he was discovering
-The kids had picture day today and Emma asked to wear make-up for pictures.
-Rex wants his hair done in a mohawk

These pics are from wacky hair day! I know they are not that extremely wacky but they look cute. don't they!

Fort Fun

I'm not sure if building forts is a genetic thing a boy thing or what, but i always remember making forts with my brothers, especially on Sunday. We would haul all the blankets, chairs and big encyclopedia books into the living room. These were are building materials. I remember Aaron always got elaborate with rooms and oft times we would haul a small TV in to watch a movie in an extremely cramped space.
Now my kids love to build forts. Every weekend we end up folding blankets and putting the " building materials" away. This is what they do when i won't let them get the "building materials" out for a second time.

Thanks again Uncle Jake for letting us borrow Mario Kart. The kids talk about you and sing praises of your greatness in your honor weekly.

Mummy Dogs

So we made MUMMY DOGS for FHE and it was a total hit. So easy...

My kids are so excited for Halloween this year, it has been so fun planning our carving of the jack-o-lantern night. If it were up to the kids we would have already carved them, but we all know what they would look like by Halloween. They are so excited for their costumes, the deal is if they get their homework done they can do reading time in their costumes.
Rex i have had to bribe to wear a costume every year since he was born and this year he would wear it from now to halloween if i let him. We may have to buy new costumes by halloween these might be in shreds by halloween!

Our Life Adventures

The kids reward for cleaning the house on Sat. was a trip to launch rockets. According to them it was the BESTest day of their lives. We were driving around looking for an empty field to launch them in and we found this pumpkin patch they were harvesting so when we were done launching rocket we each got a pumpkin.

NICE ACTION SHOT!

Meg was scared of the rockets when they launched!
My Mister Hot Stuff

Nate got home before the kids had gone to bed on friday so we went to the yogurt bar
What Rex does when he thinks no one is watching!!! : )

My wall walker... She is so animated
Emma is getting so big she earned some money and said she wanted to go to Claire's and get some new earrings. Their was another girl at school who had gotten some their. She is getting so old i don't know if i can handle it. She picked out these ice cream dangly ones that were dang cute on her!
Emma had a tea party at school. It was for the whole second grade. It gave them an opportunity to talk about using good manner. Emma was so excited for the day. The reality that we don't live in an area with a lot of LDS came when they served real tea!
