Levi laugh

Meg can get Levi to laugh till his little body can hardly handle it.

I love how he gets hit with a shoe and keeps on laughing

Meg and Kik

They play dress up

The other night Nate went to tuck Meg into bed after reading time and kik was on the other side of the bed and Nate asked her why she was over there and Meg said "She was in time out" Nate asked why and she informed Nate Kik had hit a boy today!
Meg is starting to really like playing with Kik! I got a little hair kit and she had to use all the pieces at once.

Show and Tell

Rex's class has a share day once a week. I thought this was a bit old to be doing show and tell. But it has motivated us to finish Rex's Remote Control Lego Dinosaur he got for his birthday last year! (it's been a busy year!)
This thing walk forward backwards moves its arms and roars. He was so excited to have it working. it was like Christmas

Mr.GQ

I love this kids, with those eye's i am a sucker for anything he wants.
Although i've decided their is something about seven year olds. They develop serious attitudes. Rex use to be my chill easy going kid. Not so much right now

Emma is having some girlfriends over and in preparation Rex Prepared a sign for his door and hung it!!!

So here is a funny story i want to remember one day later on down the road!

So yesterday Rex's teacher told me he was not getting his work done in class. So while i was running to pick Emma up from Achievements days i asked him why he didn't do his work. He said it was boring, so i was giving him a monologue on how important it is to get our work done and then we get to play, and Rex....
I could see the lights come on in his head as he came to this realization and he goes
"Mom it's like this... I'm not really a work boy, I'm more of a play boy!"
I just about fell out of the car onto the floor laughing

ON THE MOVE

These are not great pics, but taking pictures of this kid is not easy. He loves to crawl and be on the move. He is also proud that he can stand by himself.

Random updates

I love when you can give the kids a bucket of soapy water and they think its playing when really they are cleaning!

Levi falls asleep folded in half like a pretzel. Does not sound comfortable!

Emma is developing her creative juices one day she had this idea to make a sweet dreams bottle out of an old bath salt bottle. So she decorated a mailing label put colored water in it and tied a ribbon on top.

Day #2 outfit for school!

sharing!

Sister

Katie is the best gift giver in the world. (i may be the worst!) You can tell all her gifts come with thought. She is so creative. She makes my kids these home made gifts that are so darling last year the girls got dolls, this year she made these crayon rolls, and Emma got one for colored pencils. For Rex she took a book and cut out the middle and made a secret compartment. Then she sent me this box with the inside decorated with cute paper, just to return a shirt she borrowed. This is her cute blog she and a friend post on. Good Day Sunshine

Theme for the school year

So as a family we (mostly mom!) chose a scripture to be our theme for this year... it is

Doctrines and Covenants 88:119
Organize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a house, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;

Each month we will focus on a part

Sept. organize yourselves
Oct. prepare every needful thing
Nov. prayer
Dec. fasting
Jan. faith
Feb. learning
March glory
April order
May God

So far the kids are applying it at times and we are seeing them make efforts to get things organize. I have organized the book closet, the craft closet the kids dishes cupboard and Nates closet! (Which he did not even notice for three days till i told him!) typical
